| Preschool:
Ages 3–6 Maria Montessori compared children’s capacity
to learn from birth to six years to that of a sponge, soaking in
knowledge from all their senses. She called this stage the
“absorbent mind”: learning language, perfecting movement and
internalizing order. The 3–6 curriculum covers several main
areas—practical life, sensorial, cultural subjects, language,
motor skills, music, art and mathematics. All activities are
designed to nourish self-confidence, independence, concentration
and respect for each other and the environment.
Ages: 3–6 years (age 3 by
September 1)
Morning class: Monday–Friday:
8:30–11:30 a.m.

Extended Day (Kindergarten)
This unique program is designed to provide enrichment and

prepares children for the Montessori
elementary program by developing cooperative work
partnerships, concentration, emotional and social maturity.
Extended Day follows on from the morning program with lunch and
recess.
